Saturday November 15, 2014 students from the University of Alabama Huntsville launched 3 balloons with payloads they call BalloonSats. Attached are APRS transmitters and the students experimental payloads, the senior class does this every fall. They asked us to go and recover there payloads for them. Shane, N4XWC, and I went up Friday night and stayed in Cleveland, Tenn. to keep from having to drive so far the day of launch. The predicted LZ was in that area, as you can tell the predictions was pretty close. It was a very successful day with 3 payloads recovered very easily, 2 in a field and one in a tree but was reachable from the ground. Below are pictures of all 3 flight paths and there landing sites how we found them.
