Alum Cave Trail is located in Smoky Mountains just outside of Gatlinburg, Tenn. on hwy 441. The trail is very well established & is one of many trails to go to Mt Le Conte Lodge.  On this trip we just went to the bluffs. The views on the way up were great. It was a tough climb, we didn't know what we were getting into on this one. But at the end it was well worth the climb. Met a lot of nice people along the way, many heading up to the lodge.
