Iridium Flares
Iridium flares happen when satellites reflect sunlight back to Earth for just a few seconds. Most of these are communication satellites — the same ones satellite phones use. For more information, check out Satellite flare on Wikipedia.

Lightning
These photos were taken of a storm about a mile south of West Blount, Alabama. The lightning strikes were in a rainstorm — kind of rain-wrapped.

I shoot with a Nikon D3200 and either an 18–55 mm or a 70–300 mm lens, using an intervalometer for most of these shots.

I feed ADS-B signals to FlightRadar24, a company out of Germany. They take my data and others including FAA and display it on a live map. ADS-B signals can be found on 1,090 MHz. Only about 35% of commercial aircraft have ADS-B transmitters on them currently. For more information on how this works, visit this website.
